We stayed at 2 Calgow Cottages for 12 days and it was fantastic! The cottage is in a lovely location, with great access to forest hikes and mountain bike trails. The large shed was perfect for keeping our bikes safe. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, and we appreciated the supply of cleaning materials. The beds were comfy, the sofa was spacious, and there was so much to do in the local area. We especially loved visiting Wigtown, Whithorn, and Kirkcudbright. The garden backing onto the forest was a great spot for birdwatching. And the stars at night were absolutely breathtaking!

The cottage was in a quiet area with easy access to hiking and biking trails in Galloway Forest Park. the location was also near a fun gin distillery and good restaurants in town. the owner, Graeme, was very responsive and helpful. He quickly resolved any issues we had. the facilities in the cottage were in excellent condition.

There were no negative aspects of our stay. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
